As a nephew of Antonio Marín Montero, José Marín Plazuelo has been working for more than 40 years now in the workshop of the legendary Antonio Marín Montero, building his own flamenco guitars. One of Spain's finest luthiers. This feather light, sensational blanca is made from the best German bearclaw spruce and cypress of the fabulous old stock of Antonio Marín. She has a strong, punchy, loud sound with great harmonics, a quick attack and brilliant, singing trebles in all registers. The short scale and narrow neck make her very easy to play. Only minimal, cosmetic playing wear, french polish is completely renewed recently. One of the finest, purebred flamenco guitar. She provides so much depth and brilliance...pure joy to play.

José Marín Plazuelo, born in Granada on 13 June 1960 is the nephew and pupil of one of the last living, legendary luthiers, Antonio Marín Montero. The small workshop is located in a residential area in the heart of Granada, near the house of Manuel de Falla and the Alhambra, one of the most beautiful places that many artists love. In 1974 José, as Francisco Santiago Marín before him, started the apprenticeship with his uncle Antonio. Under the guidance of his uncle José became an accomplished luthier. Today José Marín Plazuelo is one of Spain's finest luthiers.
