Enrique de Melchor was steeped in Flamenco tradition since very young, playing alongside his father Melchor de Marchena, and accompanying countless traditional singers. As a composer for the Flamenco guitar, he is second to none, and his solo and ensemble work (with Tomatito and Manzanita for example) contributed inmeasurably to the Flamenco guitar explosion of the 1970's and 80's. His style is relatively traditional by today's standards, though he is definitely part of the Paco de Lucia generation. His compositions and falsetas are always well crafted, and deeply rooted in the traditional sounds of Flamenco.

Niño De Pura not only demonstrates these techniques separately but also in practice by playing complete CD compositions, which are also replayed slowly on a split screen with close-ups of the left and right hand and a dynamic on screen compás. The demonstrated compositions include his famous guajira 'Pa'Pura', the alegría 'Alegrías del Kiki' and the taranta 'Tocando el Cielo'.
