Esteban Delgado Bernal, gipsy guitarist, internationally known by the stage name of Esteban de Sanlúcar, was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) in 1910 and died in Buenos Aires in 1989. He belongs to the generation of guitarists who joined Niño Ricardo, Melchor de Marchena, Manolo de Huelva and others, he started playing at thirteen years in Seville cabarets. Esteban de Sanlúcar is to be given recognition for pioneering the flamenco guitar in Latin America, accompanying singing, dancing and as a soloist with a very active presence in the flamenco circuits during the Spanish emigration.
